Elaine Smitha was a jeweler, gemologist, goldsmith, diamond appraiser and world traveler. She was able to travel to many destinations during the late 1960s and through the decade of the 1970s. She collected many objects during her travels to Papua New Guinea, Bali, Indonesia. Mexico, Peru, Syria, Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Africa that we know about.
